Welcome back to Twin Roses Professional Coaching. I'm Barb, and I'm so glad you're here.
Let’s face it — work can feel like a soul-sucking grind. You wake up already tired, scroll through job boards like it's a second job, and wonder how you ended up here in the first place. If you’ve ever whispered to yourself, “work sucks, I know,” while staring blankly at your inbox, I get it. I’ve been there.
From college dropout to career clarity (eventually)
In my early twenties, I was a college dropout with zero clue what I wanted to do. I bounced from state to state, job to job, city to city, chasing something I couldn’t quite name. I was looking for identity, purpose, anything that felt like me. For a while, all I found was burnout, imposter syndrome, and a lot of “what am I doing with my life?” moments.
Then I found HR.
It wasn’t planned, but it clicked. I found purpose in helping people navigate their careers, and it lit something up in me. I spent over seven years building a career in talent acquisition, guiding others through career transitions, interviews, and big life decisions. And honestly? I was good at it. But I still felt a pull toward something deeper.
Life didn’t slow down. Neither did I.
Now I’m a full-time mom, a psychology student, and just months away from starting grad school to become a clinical mental health therapist. I’m also chasing my own goals — hitting personal bests with my running, redefining balance, and healing my relationship with work and self-worth.
Somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn’t just helping people get jobs. I was helping them rediscover who they are — and that’s where coaching came in.
Why I coach (and why you might need one too)
Career coaching isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about asking the right questions. It’s about untangling your thoughts, getting clear on your values, and figuring out what lights you up, even if it takes a few tries. It’s for anyone who feels stuck, lost, overwhelmed, or just wants more.
If you’re there now, I see you. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need a safe space to explore what’s next and someone to walk alongside you as you build the version of your life that actually feels good.
You’re not lazy. You’re not broken. You’re just burnt out from trying to make a system that doesn’t fit you… work for you.
Let’s change that together.
